Asante Kotoko will host FC Samartex 1996 in Kumasi this afternoon to complete the Ghana Premier League (GPL), Matchday 28 fixtures.
Eight matches have already been played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the conclusion of which saw reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars return back to the top of the stairs.
The Porcupines will reclaim third position on the table if they are able to defeat FC Samartex in front of their home fans.
This game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi where Asante Kotoko will look for their 12th win of the campaign.
And, they will be strong favourites to collect the three points in this fixture that has been programmed to kick off at 4:30pm.
Kotoko have dominated games between the two sides in Kumasi and that should play in their favour as they host the Timber Giants.
A win in this afternoon's encounter, will take Kotoko's points tally to 46, just five points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
There will be just six matches to end the 2025/26 campaign after today's game, with the race for the title too close to call.
Asante Kotoko will bring themselves back in the fray for the diadem with victory in this game.
The record GPL champions are seeking a record extending 26th Ghana title and, they know a win today will keep them on course for the ultimate.
