GPL thrills this weekend as Asante Kotoko plays Nations FC in Kumasi with Hearts of Oak away to Heart of Lions

The Ghana Premier League resumes on Friday

There will be some exciting scenes in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) as the season resumes this weekend with the Matchday 26 action.

The championship was put on hold last weekend to make way for the quarter final ties in the MTN FA Cup competition.

Starting on Friday, there will be some interesting fixtures that will run until Sunday.

Heart of Lions will host Accra Hearts of Oak in a fierce contest at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Friday.

Also on Friday, bottom side Eleven Wonders will welcome FC Samartex 1996 to the Swedru Sports Stadium.

The rest of the Matchday 26 matches would be played on Sunday across seven league centers.

Asante Kotoko will be home to local rivals Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

Leaders Medeama SC will trek to the Tuba Astro Turf, Kasoa to face the might of Dreams FC in what promises to be a challenging fixture for both sides.

Basake Holy Stars will welcome Young Apostles to the AAK II Sports Arena, in a home game they will look to make the most of.

Reigning champions Gold Stars will host in-form Vision FC at the Dun's Park, Bibiani.

Struggling Berekum Chelsea will look for some respite when they welcome Karela United to the Golden City Park, Berekum.

A fierce relegation contest will be in store for fans in Swedru when all Blacks hosts Hohoe United.

Bechem United will look to stay clear off trouble when they welcome Aduana FC to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem.
