Medeama SC and Dreams FC recorded wins on the opening day of the 2026 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Top 4 tournament being held in Accra.
The Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions, beat Bibiani Gold Stars 2-1 in the on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon in this pre-season tourney.
The second game of the day saw Dreams FC beat FC Samartex 1996 on penalties after their game ended goalless after 90 minutes.
Dreams FC won the shootout 5-4 with their goalkeeper Ransford Sarkodie making two penalty saves on the day.
The tournament will continue on Friday with two more matches as the competing teams continue with their preparations for next season.
Dreams FC will play Gold Stars in the first game of the day with kick-off time set for 3:00 PM local time.
The game presents Gold Stars an opportunity to make amends and play their way back into the competition after they lost to Medeama SC in their first game.
Dreams FC will look to build on their win over FC Samartex with another victory on Friday ahead of Sunday's final round of matches.
The second game of the day will see Medeama SC playing FC Samartex, kicking off at 6:00 PM.
