Joseph Commey aka "Jaguar" will defend his national lightweight title against Isaac Dowuona in Accra next month.
The bout will come off on Sunday, August, 9, 2026 at the Kalabash Event Complex, Pokuase ACP in the Ghanaian capital.
The upcoming boxing package is being put together and under the auspices of the Spirit Festival and promises to thrill.
It has been dubbed "The Spirit Fight Night" and, will be a 10 round contest as Commey puts his title on the line.
The national lightweight champion, is preparing to end the year with a bigger challenge as he aims for a world title shot.
Unbeaten in his pro career, Commey will be the overwhelming favourite to win this fight and retain his title.
The 23-year old represented Ghana at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England where he won silver in the featherweight division.
At the African Games in Accra in 2023, Commey won gold for Ghana in the lightweight division.
He is one of Ghana's most promising boxers and, has been tipped for greatness going forward.
