Port City FC aiming for the Ghanaian top-flight

Sensational Port City FC looks poised to make a grand entry to the top tier of Ghana football after taking a commanding lead at the top of the Division One League (DOL) Zone Three table.

They lead the zone with 39 points after 19 matches, six points ahead of second placed Koforidua Semper Fi going into this weekend's round of matches.

Home Stars are third on the table with 32 points, a point ahead of Attram De Visser who are fourth.

The top four teams in the zone are separated by eight points with 11 matches to end the season.

Port City FC will look to maintain their strong hold on the table after this weekend, but, they face a stern test on Sunday.

The Tema-based side will trek to the Ho Sports Stadium to face the might of third placed Home Stars who will aim to make the most of the home conditions.

Second placed Semper Fi who also be on the road as they travel to the Kukurantumi Ohene Park to play Golden Warriors FC on Saturday.

Attram De Visser plays Accra Great Olympics at the Teshie McDan Astro Turf on Sunday in an away encounter.

Other matches in Zone Three this weekend, Inter Allies hosting Hakla FC at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, Great Ambition FC will host Na God FC at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman.

True Democracy will travel to Legon to play Nania FC at the Nania Park.

Golden Kick SC will welcome WAFA to the Tuba Astro Turf, Kasoa.

On Sunday, Okwawu United hosts Accra Lions at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman.
