New Togo coach Patrice Neveu names three Ghanaians in provisional squad for international friendlies against Guinea and Niger

Togo coach Patrice Neveu has  released a provisional squad for the upcoming International friendlies against Guinea and Niger later this month.

The 71-year old Frenchman, has included three Ghanaians in his squad as he seeks build a new team.

In the squad is

Marvin Senaya, born in France, but also qualified to play for Ghana.

Senaya, plays for French Ligue 1 side Auxerre as a left-back, and is highly rated.

Ghana, are believed to have been looking at him but, the Togolese, seems to have pull a fast one one their neighbours west of the border.

Striker Yaw Annor, is another one called up for the friendlies against Guinea and Niger, and the National Bank of Egypt player will seek to make the most of this opportunity.

He played in Ghana for Bechem United and AshantiGold SC.

Former Dreams FC player Sharani Zuberu who now plays for Slovan side, Slovan Bratislava is the third Ghanaian on the list for Togo's games in Morocco as they face Guinea and Niger in a double-header in the next FIFA international friendly window.

Togi will face Guinea on March 27bin Rabat, followed by a second fixture against Niger on March 31 in Casablanca.

The final squad is expected to be confirmed in the coming days, with players in the provisional list competing for a place in the starting lineup.

“These matches are essential for our preparation,” Neveu said. 

“We want to build a strong team spirit and test our strategies against quality opponents. The players called up have a chance to show what they can offer for Togo’s future.”

The Éperviers will travel to Morocco with the dual aim of gaining competitive experience and achieving positive results, with the coaching staff confident that the blend of experienced internationals and young talents will deliver promising performances against Guinea and Niger.

This tournament marks the beginning of Neveu’s tenure, and fans will be eagerly watching to see how the new coach’s approach impacts Togo’s performance on the continental stage
