Ghana Plays Chad Today In N'Djamena In 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier

Ghana will look to take a further step towards securing qualification to next year's FIFA World Cup tournament with an away game against Chad on Thursday.

The Black Stars lead Africa Group I qualifying with 15 points from six games going into this international break.

Coach Otto Addo, has a strong squad to choose from despite missing Alexander Djiku and Joseph Painstil for this fixture.

The duo, will however be available for selection in Tuesday's home game with Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ghana, will be clear favourites to beat Chad in their own backyard with tomorrow's encounter to be played at the newly built Stade Olympique Marechal Idriss Deby Itno, N'Djamena.

The Black Stars comfortably won the first round tie 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in June, and the home side are not expected to pose much of a threat to Ghana's chances of winning.

With four round of matches to end the African qualifiers, Ghana are three points ahead of Comoros who play away to third placed Mali in Bamako also on Thursday.

In the other group game, Madagascar will host the Central African Republic with the game also to be played tomorrow.

The Black Stars will then host Mali in Accra on Tuesday where a win can push them closer to the Mundial to be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico next year.
