Ebusua Dwarfs handed five-match home ban, fined GH¢15,000 for failing to control their fans

Access Bank Division One League (DOL) side Ebusua Dwarfs Football Club have been handed a five-match home ban with immediate effect by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), regulatory authority.

The former Elite Division campaigners, have also being fined Gh¢ 15,000 for bringing the game into disrepute.

The club was found guilty of failing to ensure the safety of the match officials in a recent home game with Nsuopun Fidelity.

The club, allowed their supporters to enter restricted areas where they assaulted the match officials.

The GFA said, the ban takes immediate effect, and the fine is to be paid within 14 days of this publication.

The Cape Coast based side have also been warned that any future misconduct will attract more severe sanctions.

Ebusua Dwarfs will therefore play their next five home games away from the Robert Mensah Stadium, dealing a huge blow in their quest to gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League next season.

They are second on the table in the DOL Zone Two league as the season nears boiling point.
