DOL Zone Three: Port City maintains strong hold at the top to keep promotion hopes alive

Port City FC maintained their strong hold in Zone Three of the Access Bank Division One League (DOL) over the weekend to keep their promotion hopes alive.

In an emphatic fashion, they defeated Great Ambition FC 3-0 at home on Sunday at the Kukurantumi Ohene Park to take their points tally to 43 after 21 matches.

Port City FC are four points clear at the top of the stairs from second placed Koforidua Semper Fi going into the next round of matches.

Semper Fi won 1-0 over Great Olympics to keep pressure on the leaders as the race for promotion heats up.

The top two sides on the table are seeking to gain promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight for the first time.

And with nine matches to end the season, there is a lot to play for before promotion to the Ghana Premier League is determined.

Both, will look to keep the momentum going this weekend in their respective games, and it will be interesting to see how their matches will play out.
