The application by FC AshantiGold for a licence to participate in the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League (GPL) have been rejected.

The Miners have chosen to play their home games at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi.

The 2026-27 GPL campaign starts on the weekend of September 4-6 with 18 clubs set to participate.

FC AshantiGold, have an opening day fixture against fellow debutants Port City FC in an away game at Kukurantumi.
