Aduana FC in search of a maiden knock out trophy
Ghana Premier League (GPL), side Aduana FC have set their mission on winning the knock out competition this season, and if they do, it will be their first triumph at this level.
The two-times GPL champions, knows this is the only real path towards winning silverware this season and, they are not taking it lightly.
Aduana FC have battled their way to the last eight of the competition and, do have have opportunity to reach the semi-finals this weekend.
On their way to reaching this far, the Fire Lads accounted for fellow top-flight side Bechem United 2-1 at the Round of 64.
They then beat Division One League (DOL) campaigners Berekum Arsenal 2-0 in the next round in an away encounter at the Golden City Park, Berekum.
In the Round of 16, Aduana FC went to the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, home of defending champions Asante Kotoko to beat the Porcupines 4-2 on penalties after a goalless stalemate.
The aim of winning this trophy for the first time remains on course for the Dormaa-Ahenkroh based side to add to the GPL titles they won in the 2009/10 and the 2017 seasons.
This Saturday, Aduana FC will face Techiman Liberty Youth in one of the quarter finals of this season's campaign, and they will be huge favourites to win this tie to keep their ambition of winning the trophy on.
