Sensational draught player Atta K defiled all odds to win the 2026 Denkyiraman Damehene contest that ended on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Dunkwa in the Central Region.
It was organized by Denkyiraman Radio Station with the competition sponsored by Kaysports Limited through its CEO, Kwame Owusu-Ameyaw, a keen fan of the board game.
The competition was held at the Kyekyewere station draught playing center and attracted a large gathering to the venue.
Sixteen crack draught players competed in this special Kaysports sponsored tournament and in the end, Atta K reigned supreme to be crowned as champion.
In a hotly contested grand finale, Atta K beat Efo Sammy 2-0 to claim the giant trophy at stake.
The trophy was presented by the Manager of Denkyiraman Radio, Nana Frimpong aka Pacman to the champions and also presented the winners with Kaysports branded jerseys.
On his way to the championship, Atta K beat Osman 5-1 in the first round and beat Abe 5-0 in the second round.
At the semi-final stage, the champion faced stiff opposition from CJ who put off a brave fight before eventually losing 5-4, paving the way for Atta K to advance to the grand finale.
On his part, Efo Sammy beat Neymar 5-3 in the first round and Abu Alhassan 5-1 to move into the semi-finals.
There, Efo Sammy accounted for Francis 5-3 before losing the final to Atta K.
In the third placed contest, CJ beat Francis (Ahuba) 3-1 to take the prize.
