Forward Samuel Attah Kumi is the leading scorer in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after 24 matches in the 2025/26 campaign.
The striker who plays for reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars, has scored 11 goals in 23 appearances for the Miners in the competition this season as he aims to claim the award.
He’s showing no signs of slowing down as he scored his 11th goal of the campaign when opening the scoring as his side beat Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 last Sunday at Bibiani.
Atta Kumi, will look to improve on his when this weekend when Gold Stars who are second on the table, a point behind leaders Medeama SC, when they Young Apostles at Wenchi on Sunday.
With nine goals each in the top scorer's race are Augustine Okra of Bechem United and Richmond Opoku of Young Apostles.
Both will look to put pressure on Atta Kumi this weekend in their respective games for their clubs.
Bechem United will be away to Nations FC on Friday, (Ghana's Independence Day), at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese-Kumasi.
Then on Sunday, Opoku will be expected to lead the line in a battle of wits as Young Apostles hosts Gold Stars.
Chasing the top three on the goal king chart with eight goals, are Emmanuel Annor of Nations FC and Prince Tweneboah of Basake Holy Stars.
This weekend, Annor is expected to be in action when Nations FC hosts Bechem United on Friday.
Tweneboah and his Basake Holy Stars side, will trek to the capital to play Accra Hearts of Oak at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon on Sunday.
