Qarabağ forward Emmanuel Addai said he yearns for a future Ghana call-up and will welcome an opportunity to play for the country.

The winger, has been in impressive form since joining the Azabajan club in 2024.

“I really want to represent Ghana because I love my country," the Kumasi-born player told Accra-based TV3 on their sports show.

He added: “I grew up watching Ghana lose finals, and I want to help bring joy to my people.”

“I want to be remembered not just for playing abroad but for doing something meaningful for Ghana because I really love Ghana.”

Addai, has made 38 appearances in all competitions for Qarabag since 2024, and has scored seven goals.

He scored his first first Champions League against Danish side FC Copenhagen on October 1, 2025.

"I haven’t had any contact yet [with the Black Stars]. But I believe they’ve seen my performances. Everything happens in God’s time. I’m not in a hurry.” he told 3SPORTS.
