Nations FC defender Asante Boahen starts training with Asante Kotoko

Nations FC defender Asante Boahen has started training with Asante Kotoko ahead of a possible move to the Porcupines.

The 23-year-old centre-back is expected to continue training with the record Ghana champions as the technical team assesses his qualities.

Should he impress the coaching staff, Boahen could earn a move to the Ghanaian giants ahead of the new season.

He was part of the Nations FC team that won the MTN FA Cup last season, their first major silverware in Ghana football.

Boahen, is one of the most promising defenders on the Ghanaian scene at the moment and he is highly rated across board.

New Asante Kotoko coach Eric Tinkler is hoping to build a strong team for the club as they prepare for the new season.

The club is currently undergoing their pre-season rituals with the new season set to start in September.

Asante Kotoko will open their 2026/27 campaign with an away trip to newly promoted Debibi United on the weekend of September 4-6.
