Kaysports Ghana Limited today, (Monday), presented customized sports jerseys to Opoku Ware School at a short but impressive ceremony in Kumasi.
The presentation was held at the School’s Foyer during the morning assembly, and was warmly welcomed by the School’s authorities as well as the students.
Kaysports CEO Katakyie Kwame Owusu-Ameyaw, AP-11, an old student of the school, also known as Lineker, made the presentation on behalf of his outfit to his Alma Mater.
The package included two sets of jerseys, 20 each players and three goalkeeper’s jerseys each including socks and 20 warm up jerseys.
Also, 10 replica jerseys were presented to the management of the school, and, were received by the headmaster, Rev Father Stephen Owusu Sekyere.
Mr. Owusu-Ameyaw, believes the jerseys would be put to good use by the school for their competitive sports activities.
Katakyie Owusu-Ameyaw, tasked the students to learn very hard and also take their training seriously, and challenge for honours on all fronts.
He called on them to combine education with football, not focusing on only one, as that would take them to the top.
OWASS he added, has been known to train great entrepreneurs as this is the hallmark of the school, and, tasked the students to make the most of this opportunity.
Global President of Akatakyie (Old Boys Association of OWASS), Katakyie Mike Adu-Domfeh (AP 146), advised the students to learn very hard and win more trophies for the School.
He also encouraged Kaysports to produce replica jerseys for the students, teachers and the alumni as well.
Rev Father Stephen Owusu Sekyere, OWASS’ headmaster, thanked kaysports for the donation, and asked that same could be done for their athletics team as well.
OWASS, has been a powerhouse in schools sport in the Ashanti region and in Ghana as a whole, winning a lot of accolades in football, athletics, hockey and other disciplines.
