Christopher Bonsu Baah returned to his hometown of Twimia in Ghana’s Bono Region to an emotional hero’s welcome following his 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with the Black Stars.

The talented winger was greeted by hundreds of jubilant residents, with a lively brass band, drummers and trumpeters leading a colourful procession through the community.

Family, friends and supporters gathered to celebrate one of their own, singing, dancing and cheering as he made his way through the town.

The heartwarming reception reflected the pride of his hometown has in the young footballer, whose journey from the community to representing Ghana on football’s biggest stage continues to inspire countless young talents.

Baah, was part of the Ghana squad that participated in their fifth Mundial at the ongoing tournament in North America.

The Black Stars, qualified from Group L to the knock out stage, finishing third behind England and Croatia.

Ghana exited the competition at the Round of 32 after losing 1-0 to Colombia.
