Ghana's female national team, the Black Queens will face two-time European champions England in an international friendly in December.
The game is set to come off at St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton, and, it will be the first ever meeting between the two nations at any level of the women's game.
At a presser to launch the upcoming encounter, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ama Brobbey Williams said, the game will be a defining moment for women's football in Ghana.
This, she added, marks a turning point for the Ghanaian game as it reflects the nations progress, ambition and growing influence on the global stage.
The game she added, represents more than a sporting contest as it symbolizes Ghana's broader journey in empowering women through football.
The Black Queens, finished third at the African women's championship in Morocco a couple of months ago, and will come up against a very strong England side.
The Lionness, are the current European champions, and on home soil, they will be strong favourites going into this encounter.
Ghana however, will hope to cause an upset when they come up against their colonial masters.
