2026 Amputee World Cup draw set for September 26

The draw ceremony for the 2026 World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) World Cup will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with Ghana set to discover its group-stage opponents for the tournament in Mexico.

The ceremony will determine the teams that will face Ghana’s Black Challenge during the global competition.

Ghana will be represented by the Black Challenge, who are preparing to make an impact at the tournament as the country continues preparations for the 2026 World Amputee Football Cup.

The outcome of the draw will provide the Ghanaian team with a clearer picture of its route through the competition and enable the technical team to begin preparations based on the opponents they will face.

The Black Challenge’s campaign will also attract significant attention from Ghanaian sports fans, particularly as the team seeks to showcase the country’s growing strength in amputee football on the international stage.

The 2026 World Amputee Football Cup is scheduled to take place in Mexico.
Ghana’s preparations include administrative and media coordination, with Theophilus “Theo” Sampah appointed as the official Media Officer of the Black Challenge to coordinate accreditation and official communications throughout the World Cup campaign.

The draw ceremony on September 26 will therefore be an important milestone as participating nations move closer to the commencement of the tournament.
