The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, to be chaired by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe of South Africa.
Key items on the agenda for the meeting will include an update on the ongoing Women African Championship (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 preparations will also be discussed at the upcoming meeting.
Also on the agenda will be the 2026/27 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup competition .
The CAF Super Cup, U23 AFCON, CAF Womenโs Champions League and the U20 AFCON 2027 to be hosted by Ghana, is also on the agenda.
The meeting is expected to be a marathon one with the
FIFA U17 World Cup 2026, the U17 AFCON 2027, the U17 Girls AFCON, a new competition, will also be discussed.
The CAF Awards 2026 to be held in Nigeria as well as the bidding process for the hosting of AFCON 2028, 2032 and 2036 will be discussed as well.
Approval of the African Nations League format for 2029, 2031 and 2033, the approval of the bidding process for the African Nations League (2029, 2031 and 2033, are also to be discussed.
