It was a host and win success for Ghanaian clubs at the just ended Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone III Championships held in Accra.

In the ladies final, Kalibi Volleyball Club of Accra, also beat Nigerian opposition to claim the title.
The Ghanaians, won in straight sets with a score of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-13 in emphatic fashion.
The best male and female players of the 10-day competition also went to Ghanaians.
Imoro Alhassan of the Ghana Army team, won the MVP award for the men as they won the title.
Benedicta Akorli of Kalibi Volleyball Club, won the ladies award in helping her club win gold.
