The Miners are looking good for promotion

The race from promotion to the Elite Division in Ghana from the Division One League (DOL), Zone Two is heating up with three clubs all gunning for the sole ticket.

FC AshantiGold, Ebusua Dwarfs and Nsuopun Fidelity all won their Matchday 21 fixtures over the weekend to keep the race tight at the top.

FC AshantiGold under new helmsman Abdul Karim Zito, beat Sefwi All Stars 4-0 away to maintain top spot on the table.

Ebusua Dwarfs were comfortable 3-0 home winners over King Faisal Babes at Cape Coast to keep pressure on the leaders.

Sekondi Eleven Wise lost 1-0 at home to Nsuopun Fidelity who are third on the table.

The top three  standings after 21 matches, has FC AshantiGold on 43 points, Ebusua Dwarfs have 40 points with Nsuopun Fidelity on 38 points going into the next round of matches.

The battle for the top spot is getting intense as the season enters the decisive stage of the campaign with all still to play for.

In other matches played in DOL Zone Two over the weekend, New Edubiase United beat PAC Academy 1-0 at Obuasi to ease some of their relegation worries.

Ebony FC and UCC Youngsters drew goalless in their game played at the home of the former.

Rospak FC won 2-0 away to Soccer Intellectuals to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Future Stars beat Elmina Sharks 2-1 at home as they look to retain their status for another season.

Police National will host Skyy FC on Monday to complete the Matchday 21 fixtures.
