Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo joins Black Stars camp in Wales in preparation for the World Cup


Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo is the latest player to join the Black Stars squad in Wales as Ghana prepares for the FIFA World Cup.

His arrival in camp, takes the number of players to 25 as preparations continue for Tuesday’s international friendly against Wales in Cardiff.

The Black Stars are preparing in Wales ahead of  the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States in June and July.

Semenyo, arrived Saturday evening and took part in a mini golf session with the team at the hotel on Sunday morning.

He will join the evening training session at Dragon Park.

Players in camp:

Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Benjamin Asare and Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

The rest are Joseph Anang, Solomon Agbasi, Paul Reverson, Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Marvin Senaya and Alidu Seidu.

Also in camp are Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Christopher Bonsu Baah and Ernest Nuamah.

Others are, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, and Antoine Semenyo.

The Black Stars will face Wales in an international friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday.

Ghana will face Panama, England and Croatia in Group L at the Mundial.
