Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has set his sights on claiming both the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup titles this season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently fifth on the league table with 35 points from 21 matches, eight points adrift of leaders Medeama SC, and have struggled to find consistency in recent weeks.
This weekend, Kotoko will take on Aduana FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Zito underscored his ambition of achieving a domestic double, stressing that the team must approach the match with full focus and avoid repeating mistakes from their recent league games.
“Definitely, we have to win that game (against Aduana FC). We don’t have any excuse because my main objective is to win the league or the FA Cup—or even the double," the former Black Satellites head coach
"So definitely, I have to work hard because we cannot afford to lose to Aduana,” Zito added.
Following the FA Cup clash, Kotoko will host their fiercest rivals, Hearts of Oak, in the highly anticipated Matchday 22 Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
