Former Elite Division campaigners Ebusua Dwarfs, and FC AshantiGold, are in a four dog hot race with two others for a place in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), next season.
The two former GPL sides, are joined by Sefwi All Stars and Nsuopun Fidelity, to gain promotion from Zone Two in the Division One League (DOL), which has 11 matches to end the season.
Dwarfs and FC AshantiGold, both have 37 points and occupy the top two positions on the table going into this weekend's round of matches.
In third position on the ladder are Sefwi All Stars with 35 points with Nsuopun Fidelity three points behind them in fourth position.
Both All Stars and Nsuopun Fidelity, are seeking a maiden appearance in the top-flight of Ghana football.
This weekend, all four clubs will look for a win to bolster their chances of getting over the line at the end of the campaign.
Ebusua Dwarfs has a tough away game at the Mohammed Kamil Arena, Offinso where they will play PAC Academy on Sunday.
FC AshantiGold will host Police National at the Gyamfi Park, Bekwai also on Sunday.
Nsuopun Fidelity will welcome New Edubiase United to the Dominase Astro Turf on Sunday.
Sefwi All Stars will be on the road at Cape Coast where they will play UCC Youngsters at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
Other games in DOL Zone Two will see Elmina Sharks hosting Ebony FC at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast with Future Stars away to Rospak FC at the TnA Stadium, Tarkwa all on Saturday.
Skky FC will host Sekondi Eleven Wise at the St Martin's Park, Daboase on Sunday.
Also on Sunday, King Faisal Babes will welcome Soccer Intellectuals to the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.
