FC AshantiGold 04 forward David Gyamfi Junior leads the goal king race in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after three round of matches.
The striker, has scored three goals for the GPL debutants in the ongoing campaign as they target staying in the league for another campaign at least.
Ironically, Gyamfi Junior scored all the three goals in one match, a Matchday Two fixture that the Miners hosted.
That game was played at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi where FC AshantiGold 04, plays their home matches.
The striker, did not find the net in their last game as AshantiGold lost away to Basake Holy Stars at Azulewanu on Sunday.
He, and the rest of the FC AshantiGold 04 squad, will look to make amends in their next game when they welcome fellow debutants Debibi United to Obuasi on Sunday.
With two goals after three matches in the 2026-27 GPL goal king race are four players who are hotly on the heels of Gyamfi Junior for the top marksman award.
John Antwi of Accra Hearts of Oak, Setsofia Aqetey of Vision FC, Richard Owusu of Debibi United, Emmanuel Mamah of Asante Kotoko and Wisdom Manyina of Karela United, have all scored two goals for their respective clubs after three matches.
All the aforementioned players as well as others in the 18-club contest, will hope to get on the score sheet this weekend as the season continues with the Matchday Four matches across all centers.
