Asante Kotoko: Karela United task will be difficult, but we hope to scale through - Prince Yaw Owusu

Asante Kotoko interim coach Prince Yaw Owusu says their game against Karela United this weekend, will be a tough one they hope to see through.

The Porcupines will travel to Tamale to face United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.

And, Coach Owusu is anticipating a tough duel in the Northern region against a Karela United side that has been impressive this season playing in front of their home fans.

"We anticipate a very difficult assignment on Sunday against Karela United," Coach Owusu told Asante Kotoko media ahead of Sunday's encounter.

"However, we will rise to the challenge and make our supporters proud after the 90 minutes are over," he added.

Asante Kotoko have never won a competitive game at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium since 2017 when they beat arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 3-1 to win the MTN FA Cup competition.

Sunday, promises to be another tough task for Kotoko as Coach Owusu admits, and they will have to bring their A-game to the field if they hope to take anything out of this game.
