FC Samartex 1996 will be joined by three other Ghana Premier League (GPL), sides for the 2025 Nsenkyire Cup pre-season competition.
The Timber Giants, have been hosting this tourney every year since they joined the Elite Division three seasons ago.
This year’s edition, will also be held at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samreboi, home of FC Samartex.
They will be joined by Medeama Sporting Club, Aduana Football Club and Berekum Chelsea Football Club.
The pre-season competition promises to be a keenly contested affair as all four clubs prepare for the start of the new football season in Ghana.
FC will will hope to put up a good showing when the competition starts next month to usher them into the new campaign well prepared.
The Timber Giants, finished seventh in the GPL last season after winning it the previous campaign.
Medeama SC, Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea, all fell short of their expectations last season, and they will want to improve in the coming campaign.
Hence, this pre-season competition offers them an opportunity to prepare very well for the task ahead.
The 2025/26 Ghana football season begins with the GPL in September with Bibiani Gold Stars as the defending champions.
