Ghana Premier League (GPL), winners Bibiani Gold Stars will face MTN FA Cup lords Asante Kotoko in a champion vs champions clash on Sunday.
The game will be played at the Dun's Park, Bibiani to usher in the 2025/26 Ghana football season.
Gold Stars, won their maiden top-flight title last season, and they will look to add the champion of champions trophy to their cabinet.
This past Sunday, the Miners won the 2025 GHALCA Top Four pre-season tournament, finishing ahead of Accra Hearts of Oak, Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko in the competition played at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.
Sunday's game is being played at the home venue of Gold Stars who will relish the opportunity to win the contest in from of their supporters.
In the just ended top four competition, they defeated Asante Kotoko 2-1 in the opening game of the tourney, and, they will look to do the double over the Porcupines this pre-season.
Asante Kotoko finished bottom of the log in the top four competition, after losing all their matches.
Coach Karim Zito and his charges, will be out to make amends with a win in Sunday's game ahead of the start of the new season next month.
Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in continental campaigns next season with the Miners set to face Algerians JSK in the first round of the CAF Champions league.
Asante Kotoko will play Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup first round in September.
