Aduana FC Jump Top Of The GPL Log After Eight Matches

Aduana FC moved top of the stairs in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), standings after the latest round to matches last weekend.

The Fire Lads, have upsurge Medeama SC at the top following their narrow win over Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the GPL last weekend, there were wins for Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, Gold Stars and Berekum Chelsea.

The nine matches played from last Friday to Sunday, produced 18 goals with four home wins, two away wins and three drawn games.

Aduana FC posted a slim away win over Techiman Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon as they took the three points to Dormaa-Ahenkroh.

They lead the standing with 18 points, one point ahead of Medeama SC who drew 1-1 away to Hohoe United at Hohoe.

Reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars are third on the table with 16 points after they defeated Young Apostles 1-0 at HH home.

Accra Hearts of Oak also have 16 points and sit in fourth position as beating Basake Holy Stars 2-1 on the road.

Heart of Lions are fifth with 15 points following their one all draw away to All Blacks at Swedru.

FC Samartex are sixth with 13 points, one point ahead of Karela United who lost 4-2 to Asante Kotoko at Kumasi.

Kotoko who have three games in hand, are eighth on the table with 11 points.

Also with 11 points, are Young Apostles with Hohoe United in 10th position with nine points.

Nations FC also have nine points after they drew goalless away to Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem.

Vision FC lost 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park, Berekum in a closely fought affair.

Both sides have eight points from the eight matches they have played.

Swedru All Blacks have seven points just as Dreams FC who beat FC Samartex 2-0 at home to end their unbeaten start to the campaign.

In the bottom three on the table are Bechem United, (six points, Eleven Wonders, (two points) and Basake Holy Stars also with two points.
