Bechem United Part Ways With Head Coach Stephen Botchway

Ghana Premier League (GPL), side Bechem United have parted ways with head coach Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway and his assistant Bright Anthony Konadu after eight league matches.

They gaffer and his second-in-command, have been unable to stamp their authority on the club after being appointed to the role before the start of the season.

Bechem United, are in the bottom three on the GPL table after eight round of matches.

Coach Botchway’s record with the Hunters, reads eight matches, one win, three drawn games and four losses in the GPL.

Chieftains at the club were hopeful of mounting a challenge for the title this season with the appointment of Coach Botchway, but things have not been as planned.

After eight matches, Bechem United are already battling relegation, having amassed just six points from the games they have played.

In their last fixture with Coach Botchway in charge, the Hunters drew goalless with Nations FC in a game played in from of their home fans at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

They next play Young Apostles in an away fixture on Sunday at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.

The club have announced that it will soon name a new technical team to challenge for their objectives this season.
