The battle line is drawn for the Gbese Manste Homowo Charity Peace Cup on Sunday with two Ghana Premier League (GPL), sides set to contest for the giant trophy.
The combatants are Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Heart of Lions who will compete at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak are the defending champions after winning last year’s edition against the same opposition at the same venue.
Sunday’s game, has been scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM local time in the Ghanaian capital.
The Phobians, will aim to win the trophy again as they continue to prepare for next season’s Ghana football campaign.
New head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has been preparing his charges for the new campaign, and Sunday represents a good opportunity to access the readiness of the side for the 2025/26 season.
“We are building a team with players who have a winning mentality and the upcoming game is important for us,” Coach Dramani told the local media ahead of Sunday’s game.
“This game is very important to us, and we will give it our all to win the game for our fans,” Coach Dramani added.
His side, will come up against a very determined Heart of Lions side who will be eager to avenge the defeat they suffered last year.
