The University of Ghana, Legon, will host a special ping pong event to celebrate this year’s world table tennis day.
It will come off on Wednesday, April 23 starting at 10:00 AM at the University’s Sports and Wellness Directorate.
The event, will feature the Veterans Table Tennis Association of Ghana, taking on the University of Ghana Team in an exhibition contest.
The veterans club, comprises of former Ghana internationals who have teamed up to support the growth of table tennis in Ghana.
President of the Ghana Veterans Table Tennis Association is Lawyer Christopher King who has called for massive support on this great occasion and will hopefully display his skills on the day.
Also expected to feature is vice president Jason Onyameh and technical director Richard Laryea who have all been favoured players in the past.
The event, is expected to be a thrilling affair as Ghana joins the world in celebrating world table tennis day.
Also expected to play, is one of Ghana’s most talented table tennis players Adolf Awotwe who represented the country with passion during his hey days and won numerous laurels.
A great day awaits on April 23 at the University of Ghana where tennis greats will meet to celebrate this ping pong day.
