GOC Congress selects three-man Elections Committee for April pools

The Congress of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), on Saturday picked three personalities who will oversee the next Elections fixed for April 26, 2025.

The three, are Lawyer Peter Zwennes, former President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Ibrahim Ali and DCOP Lydia Donkor.

They will see to a successful conduct of Elections 2025, ensuring free, fair and credible balloting to elect the new leadership of the GOC.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Richard Akpokavie has declared his intentions to contest the incumbent President Ben Nunoo Mensah in the upcoming elections.

The GOC, organized its annual Congress in Accra last Saturday with all executive board members present except treasurer and Ghana Football Association representative, Fred Acheampong who is bereaved.

The next Extra Ordinary Congress for elections has been fixed for April 26, 2025.

Positions to be contested for are, the Presidency, First and Second Vice President, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and Board Members.
