Team Tunisia were crowned overall champions at the 2025 African youth men’s and women’s boxing championships after some amazing displays by their boxers.
Ghana, placed third in the event held in Conakry, Guinea as her three boxers all won gold.
The Tunisian team, were a class above the rest after showcasing outstanding performances across multiple weight categories.
South Africa placed second ahead of Ghana.
The competition displayed the growing strength of youth boxing across the continent, and the final rankings reflected the dedication and hard work of all teams involved.
Team Ghana was made up of Mathias Ashitey, (Flyweight-51Kg), George Dowouna (Bantamweight-54Kg) and Desmond Pappoe (Middleweight-75Kg), who all won gold medals for the country.
