Ghana bowls is determined to place the sport on the world stage after it was launched in Accra.
The Federation, hopes to guide the country to compete at 2026 Commonwealth Games, hoping to win medals for Ghana.
The World Bowls hierachy arrived in Ghana to a historic launch of the sport in West Africa.
The team that visited Ghana included Brett O’Riley, World Bowls President, Sue Beatt Chairperson of the Scottish Sports Association and Executive Board Member of World Bowls, James Owen, World Para Bowls President and David Hamer, Bowls South Africa President.
The Ghana Federation, is planning to take the sport to schools in the coming months, hoping to make the most of the talents that will crop up.
Before next year’s Commonwealth Games, a series of events would be held in Ghana to select the best athletes to represent the country at the games.
