Former Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko appointed new Medeama SC head Coach

Ghana Premier League (GPL), club, Medeama SC has confirmed the appointment of Ibrahim Tanko as their new head coach, according to reports filed by Kumasi-based television network, Kessben TV.

The highly regarded tactician, known for his technical prowess and vast experience, takes over the reins at the Tarkwa-based club as they aim to solidify their dominance in Ghanaian football and make an impact in continental competitions going forward.

Tanko’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Medeama SC, who are determined to build on their recent successes, as they compete on all fronts domestically this season.

The club and its fans, will be hoping the former Ghana international’s leadership and expertise can drive them to greater heights both locally and internationally.

Medeama SC, are seventh with 26 points in the ongoing GPL campaign after 18 matches, trailing leaders Asante Kotoko by eight points.

The Yellow and Mauves, are also through to the Round of 16 in the MTN FA Cup, a competition they have won twice in recent years.

More details on the contract of Coach Tanko, and his immediate plans are expected to be unveiled by the Tarkwa-based club in the coming days.
