Record Ghana champions Asante Kotoko have been handed a tricky draw in their first five games for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL), season.
In their opening five matches of the upcoming campaign, the Porcupines will play three away matches and two home games.
Asante Kotoko will be away to Berekum Chelsea on the opening day with the encounter set to be played at the Golden City Park, Berekum.
This could be a tough task for the Garden City club who have endured some difficult times at that venue against Chelsea as well as Berekum Arsenal in the past.
The Porcupines will be home to defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars in the second game at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.
This could be another tough assignment for Kotoko against the defending champions.
Asante Kotoko will then be on the road to play away to Baseke Holy Stars at the AAK Sports Arena, a venue they drew at last season.
Afterwards, Asante Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi to play home to Heart of Lions in another difficult task.
The fifth game of the new season for Asante Kotoko, will be away to their arch rivals Accra Hearts Of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Games between these two giants have also been difficult to determine and, this upcoming event is expected to follow a similar trend.
The 2025/26 GPL season has been scheduled to start on the weekend of September 12-14 across all centers nationwide.
