Black Stars Set To Face Nigeria In 2025 Afro-Caribbean Unity Cup Wednesday

Ghana coach Otto Addo has named a 23-man squad for the 2025 Unity Cup competition in London, England this week.

Ghana will face Nigeria at Brentford FC”s GTech Community Stadium in West London on Wednesday, May 28, for a place in the final on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

This Afro-Caribbean invitational tournament, is back after a 21 year absence, and is poised to thrill.

In addition to Ghana and Nigeria, two Caribbean countries, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica, have also been invited for the tournament.

It begins on Tuesday, May 27 with the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago taking on the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica before the Ghana vs Nigeria game a day later.

The comeback edition of this tournament, is being played at the GTech Community Stadium, and will end on Saturday, May 31.

On that day, the losers of the two semi-final ties, will meet in a third and fourth playoff before the final is held between the two winners.

Coach Otto Addo said, the tournament will afford him an opportunity to access more players as Ghana gears up for the resumption of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September.
