Thomas Partey scored twice as Ghana beat Madagascar 3-0 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier played in Morocco on Monday.
The Black Stars, have opened a five points lead at the top of the table in Group I after five matches, with only the first placed team at the end of the qualifiers, certain to make it to the Mundial.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, scored in the 11′ and 54′ minutes to hand Ghana the win as they maintained their perfect record in these qualifiers.
Ghana’s other goal, was scored by Mohammed Kudus of West Ham United in the 59′ in a dominant display by the team.
The Black Stars, have a perfect 15 points from the five matches they have played, five points ahead of Madagascar with Mali and Comoros on nine points.
The Central African Republic and Chad, follow in that order on the table with five and zero points respectively.
Ghana, thus, are in pole position to make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The next round of matches, will be played in June where the Black Stars will look to consolidate their position on the table and take another step towards qualification.
