Ghana’s most successful football club Asante Kotoko storms the capital this weekend to compete for the 2025 President’s Cup on Sunday.
The Porcupines, will face their bitterest rivals on the local scene Accra Hearts of Oak for the converted trophy and cash prize at stake.
The game will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium with the Porcupines aiming to win it for the umpteenth time.
Asante Kotoko, are the record winners of this off-season trophy and, they will be strong favourites to claim this year’s Cup as well.
The Garden City club, have dominated encounters against Hearts of Oak in recent times, winning four and drawing one of their last five matches in all competitions.
They will aim to extend that dominance on Sunday against a Hearts of Oak side they have had the better off for the past two seasons.
They descend on the capital with new additions to their squad from from the one they competed with last season.
The Porcupines, have made six new signs to their squad and, they will look to impress Coach Karim Zito, aiming to force their way into the team for next season.
Coach Zito and his charges, will look to kick off their preparations for next season on a high as they target a successful campaign especially in their continental assignment.
