Asante Kotoko Returns To League Action Sunday As they Host Dreams FC In Kumasi

Asante Kotoko will return to league action on Sunday when they host Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

The Porcupines, are three points behind leaders Nations FC with four games to end the season as they chase a record extending 25th Ghana Premier League (GPL), title.

Kotoko were in action last weekend in the MTN FA Cup competition as they beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 to book their place in the grand finale of this season’s campaign next month.

They will face Access Bank Division One League (DOL), side Golden Kick SC in the final on June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, Accra.

Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Sunday as they mount a late charge for the GPL title.

The record Ghana champions, will be huge favourites to collect the three points at home against a Dreams FC side they beat (2-1), during the first round of the competition.

Coach Karim Zito, was in charge of Dreams FC during that game at the Tuba Astro Turf, but, the former Ghana international has joined Asante Kotoko as their new technical head for the reminder of this campaign.

Coach Zito will hope to pull a fast one on his former side, hoping that Kotoko will take advantage of any slip up by the leaders this weekend.
