Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko jetted off to South Africa on Tuesday with a 25-man squad for the Toyota Cup game this weekend.
The Porcupines, will take on South African powerhouse Kaiser Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban on Saturday.
This high profile friendly, forms part of the team’s preparations for the 2025/26 Ghana football season as they aim to do well in all competitions.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito has named a strong squad for this assignment with the inclusion of 10 newly signed players for the upcoming season.
The 25-man squad includes three goalkeepers, nine defenders, seven midfielders and six forwards.
Asante Kotoko will look to win the 2025 Toyota Cup game on Saturday before returning to Ghana to continue with their preparations for the new season.
The team will conclude their warm up for next season by participating in the GHALCA Top Four competition before playing league winners Bibiani Gold Stars in the champion of champions clash.
Asante Kotoko will compete on three fronts next season in the Ghana Premier League, (GPL), the FA Cup competition and in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
